The Accumulator tipped off in Milwaukee where the red hot Houston Rockets came to town. Despite playing in a big game the night before, the Rockets didn’t show any signs of slowing down as they won their 17th game in a row which is a new record this season. James Harden led the way with 26 points in the win and basically wrapped up the MVP award by now.
Two teams struggling for a high draft pick met in Chicago as the Bulls hosted the Grizzlies. Going with a -3 Point Spread on the home team was a tough one, but the Bulls pulled through in the end with a 6 point win. Three of their starters scored over 20 points in a 119:110 win at home.
In probably the toughest game of the Acca, Toronto needed overtime to get a win over the Detroit Pistons. Despite being 14 points down at half time, the best team in the East didn’t give up and sparked a big comeback with a huge 3rd quarter in which they scored 40 pts. In the end, DeRozan proved to be clutch and scored a huge basket at the end of OT to give the Raptors their 47th win overall and their 20th on the road this season.
The New Orleans Pelicans had little issues against the Sacramento Kings. Anthony Davis scored 17 pts in only 23 mins of action, which was enough en route to a 13 point away win. The Pelicans have now won 10 straight.
LeBron James scored 39 pts in Clevelands win at Denver, but more importantly we went with Under 231.5 Total Points and it paid off. The game finished 113:108 in favor of the Cavs who are still holding on to that 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference.
And finally it was the Los Angeles Lakers who recorded a controversial home win over the Orlando Magic. It was a very close game, but 6 players scored in double figures for the Lakers to pull through with the win. LA also overcame 28 pts from Gordon and 24 from Vučević, in the end it was a 1-point win and more importantly our Accumulator had landed!
