The night started in Nashville where the home team Predators were looking to win their 2nd straight against the Colorado Avalanche. With the series being a highly contested one so far, we decided to go with goals here and it fully paid off. After a slow start and just one goal in the opening period, four more goals were scored in the second which meant we were just 1 goal away from landing the first leg with an entire period to go. 7 mins into the final period the winning goal was scored for us when Nashville went up 4-2!
We also went for goals in the Tampa Bay Lightning vs New Jersey Devils game. The Lightning went up 2-0 just like the Predators in the previous series and it was a real goal fest in this one. After a 1-1 first period, Tampa Bay ran them over 4-1 in the 2nd which gave them full control of the game. New Jersey tried a comeback in the 3rd but only managed to score once which mean the game finished 5-3 in favor of Tampa Bay!
The Boston Bruins hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd leg of the Acca. Having been 1-0 up from the first game, we went with a convincing win for Boston here and they destroyed their opponents! It was all Boston right from the start as they jumped to a 4-0 lead in the opening period. The game was pretty much over by then and the two teams went 3-3 over the next two periods which meant a 7-3 win for Boston in a 10-goal thriller! The Bruins are now 2-0 up in the series.
And finally the San Jose Sharks were in Anaheim to take on the Mighty Ducks. After a convincing 3-0 win in the first game of the series, we just knew they wouldn’t lose this one. Going with San Jose Double Chance proved to be a smart idea after the first period as the away team led 2-1. Each team scored one more goal in the 2nd period and the Sharks were able to hold on for a 3-2 win here and grabbed a commanding 2-0 lead in the series heading back home!
