After a few Tennis accumulators coming extremely close over the last week, we’re extremely happy to land this huge tip!
The accumulator was made up of 8 legs, and started with Angelique Kerber vs Garbine Muguruza. We needed 3 sets for this leg to land, and luckily after Kerber won the first set 6-4, Muguruza came back to win the next 2 sets 6-4 6-4. This won her the game & got our 17/1 accumulator off to a great start!
Next up we had Sam Querrey to Win vs Kevin Anderson. This was an extremely tight game which included 2 tie-breaks! Querrey came out on top and won 6-3 in the fifth set to finish the game.
With Johanna Konta playing so well, we we’re confident she would win against Caroline Garcia. After a tight first set & losing the second, Konta managed to win the third and progress to the next round!
Our next leg was Simona Halep to win vs Victoria Azarenka. Halep made us sweat slightly in the first set by needing to win the tie-break, but she won the second set comfortably 6-2 to keep our 17/1 accumulator alive!
Next up we had the World Number 1 Andy Murray, who we tipped to beat Benoit Paire. He managed this in straight sets, winning 7-6, 6-4 & 6-4. At this point we knew the accumulator had a strong chance of landing!
We are now down to the last 3 legs, with Milos Raonic vs Alexander Zverev being a game we needed at least 4 sets in. What a game this was, going to 5 sets and Raonic ultimately came out on top.
The last 2 legs of our 17/1 accumulator consisted of Novak Djokovic & Roger Federer both needing to win their matches. Djokovic’s game was postponed until the next day due to Rafael Nadal’s mammoth game against Gilles Muller. Roger Federer left us sweating overnight by beating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets, leaving it to Djokovic to bring us the boom!
Novak Djokovic won the first set comfortable 6-2, however he got taken to a tie-break in the second but once he went 2-0 up – it looked likely we were on to a winner! Luckily the World Number 4 won the last set 6-4 and ultimately landed our 17/1 Wimbledon Accumulator!
