It was an incredible fortnight of Tennis and an amazing couple of weeks for our Tennis tipsters. For Wimbledon we provided our followers with an in-depth betting preview and selected our outright win and each way tips for both the Men’s and Women’s tournament. Of our 4 tips, 3 made the final, an extraordinary feat!

We will have plenty of Tennis tips over the summer with the next tournament starting on 24th July. Make sure you bookmark our Tennis page for all the latest tips from tournaments across the world.

Womens

We kicked off in the Women’s tournament, as we tipped Garbine Muguruza as our Each-Way bet at 14/1. She looked invincible throughout the tournament dispatching her opponents with relative ease. Her first scare came against World Number 1 Angelique Kerber, as the German took the opening set 6-4. Muguruza fought back valiantly, winning the next two sets 6-4 to progress to the Quarter Final.

In the Quarter Final, Garbine made light work of Russian hopeful Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3 6-4 however she really impressed in the Semi-Final when she thrashed Magdalena Ribarikova 6-1 6-1 to earn herself a spot in the Wimbledon Final for the first time since her 2015 loss to Serena Williams.

Muguruza faced the incredible Venus Williams in the final, who also had a fantastic tournament. The first set was a sensational show of tennis as both ladies smashed winner after winner impressing the crowds. Venus has the first chance with a break point on the Muguruza serve, however the Spaniard held serve and proceeded to smash through the Williams serve to take the set 7-5

Second set, unfortunately was a walkover as Muguruza hammered her way through Venus Williams 6-0 as age and stamina told for the American. A superb win for Garbine Muguruza and lands our 14/1 tip.

Mens

In the Men’s competition we tipped Croatian Marin Cilic to have a good tournament as an each-way tip. We were impressed by his game at present and the big serving Cilic warmed up to this tournament in style by reaching the final of Queens, eventually losing out to Spaniard Lopez.

Cilic got his tournament off in fine style dispatching of German Florian Mayer in straight sets 7-6 6-4 7-5 before powering his way into the last 16 with a straight sets win over American Steve Johnson. He made the quarter finals in devastating fashion with a 6-2 6-2 6-2 annihilation against Roberto Bautista-Agut.

The Quarter Finals is where our man found his first real test, a thrilling 5 setter against Gilles Muller. He went a set down losing the first 6-3 but battled back winning the next two 7-6 and 7-5 to go 2-1 in front. Muller won the 4th 7-5 to take us into a 5th set, however thankfully for us, Cilic shown his dominance and quality as he powered through winning the final set 6-1.

Sam Querrey was next, fresh off the back of his impressive win against British hopeful Andy Murray. Cilic went a set down for the second consecutive match as Querrey took the first on a tie break. Cilic used his massive serve to his advantage winning the next 3 sets, including 1 tie break to make the final against Swiss sensation Roger Federer.

The Final against Roger Federer was always going to be tough, Federer had not dropped a set all tournament and looked in fine form as he looked to win a record 8th Wimbledon title. Unfortunately Cilic suffered an injury early in the second set and it clearly affected the Croatian. He bowed out in straight sets losing 6-3 6-1 6-4 meaning Federer goes down in Wimbledon history and ensures the “Big 4” have won every edition of the competition since 2002.
