62/1 Win Accumulator

Our Winning accumulator only consisted of 5 legs, and first we headed to Oldham where they faced losing a 5th consecutive league defeat at the hands of Charlton. This game was an absolute thriller as Charlton raced into a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes through Holmes and Fosu. They were pegged back before the half time interval thanks to a Davies penalty for the home side. The Latics started the second half the better as they equalised through new signing Eoin Doyle. Their joy was short lived as Fane got sent off for a second yellow card. The away side took full advantage of the sending off and scored 2 in 10 minutes to put themselves in control. The last 10 minutes were nervy as Byrne pulled one back for Oldham but Charlton held on to secure the 3 points.

Next up we wanted Scunthorpe to continue their unbeaten start to the season and beat a Bury side who had won just one of their opening 4 games. That run continued as Scunthorpe ran out 1-0 winners in the dying stages thanks to as Josh Morris scored his 3rd of the season in the 86th minute! They held onto that lead and propelled themselves into 4th place in the table.

Over to the West Midlands next and to Walsall as they hosted Plymouth Argyle. We wanted the Saddlers to pick up from their poor start to the season and get their 2nd win of the season. The home side got off to the perfect start as Agyei fired Walsall into a first half lead. They doubled their lead in the 81st minute thanks to midfielder Erhun Oztumer. As with the Charlton game we were left to endure a tough final few minutes as Carey fired home a penalty in the 87th minute. It wasn’t enough as the Saddlers held on for the victory.

The penultimate leg saw Stevenage travel to Cheltenham where we needed an away victory for our accumulator. There was very little in terms of action in the first half and the second half started in the same fashion. Frustration started to set in as the away side picked up a couple of needless bookings however they got what they deserved as Martin found the net in the 82nd minute. That goal would hold out till full time and see us just 1 leg away.

Finally we had backed Cambridge to pick up their second win in 3 games against a Colchester side who had won last time out. This match was littered with bookings as 5 yellow cards were handed out in the first 60 minutes. Thankfully on the 64th minute Uche Ikpeazu fired home to put the home side ahead. They managed to see that lead out and won the game 1-0, also landing out 62/1 Win accumulator!
