FST – Transfers In
For GW10, we’ve gone for a double transfer, bringing in Sergio Aguero for Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison for Fabregas.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – £11.7m – CAPTAIN
Sergio Aguero needs no introduction. Despite injuries, the Argentinian has been performing in the Premier League year-in-year-out for just over six seasons now, and with Aguero returning to the starting XI last weekend against Burnley, we think he’ll be the main man up front going forward. Aguero has scored 6 and assisted 3 over his last four outings, and given City’s form, we’d expect more from him against the Baggies on Saturday.
Richarlison (Watford) – £6.3m
Watford’s Richarlison is starting to make a name for himself in his first ever Premier League campaign. At just £6.3m, the Brazilian is fantastic value for the role he plays, tallying three goals and four assists from only eight starts. While guilty of missing two big chances in Saturday’s 4-2 defeat against Chelsea, the number of opportunities coming his way make him well worth bringing in – his 32 shots are more than any other midfielder in the game.
Other GW10 Captain Alternatives
Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – £10.6m – CAPTAIN
Since his first Premier League start of the season against Man City, Hazard has clocked just 1 assist, but the Belgian looks to be finding his feet again. When it comes to premium-priced FPL midfielders, goals are a huge factor, and with Hazard finding the back of the net twice against Roma, he should be up and running in no time. He’s expected to remain as Chelsea’s designated spot-kick taker and Chelsea’s very favourable run of fixtures, including this weekend’s trip to Bournemouth, should make him a valuable long term investment – 9 of Chelsea’s next 12 fixtures are rated 2 on the Fixture Difficulty Ranking (FDR).
Mohammed Salah (Liverpool) – £9.1m
Salah is another midfielder who should be looking to find the back of the net this weekend. The Egyptian winger is set to play an even more crucial role going forward in the absence of Philippe Coutinho against Huddersfield Town at Anfield on Saturday. Salah has produced double-figure returns in two of his three starts at home and is the top-ranked FPL midfielder for shots in the box (26) and shots on target (18).
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) – £11.8m
After Arsenal’s 5-2 thrashing of Everton last weekend, Alexis Sanchez is back in contention as a captain option. The Chilean forward has fired more shots (19) than any FPL midfielder over the last four Gameweeks, which is back up tidily with his 2nd place rank for chances created (12). Sanchez could face a Swansea City defense without regular left-back Martin Olsson at home. Part of only 2.3% of squads, a big score from the Chilean could have a major impact on FPL ranks and mini-leagues.
