Fantasy Premier League GW7 – All You Need to Know

Gameweek 6 saw some huge point hauls from the big name players. As many as five braces were scored over the duration of the weekend, with Alvaro Morata, Harry Kane, Alexander Lacazette, and Sergio Aguero being standout performers. But it’s not just the forwards who were raking in the points for fantasy managers, so which other players have made themselves worth consideration ahead of this weekend’s action?

FST GW7 Captain – Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United vs Everton predictions, free betting tips and match previewMuch of Manchester United’s form in front of goal has been thanks to new striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian forward has only failed to score in one of his appearances since joining the club and backing him to find the net once again against the most out-of-form team in the Premier League, Crystal Palace, seems a straight-forward decision.

Other GW7 Captain Alternatives

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

While Lukaku has been finishing them left, right and center, Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has played a huge role in pulling the strings. Mkhi has 5 assists and 5 bonus points to his name so far this season, so if you’re expecting goals from United on Saturday, then expect him to be involved one way or another.

Harry KaneTottenham vs burnley predictions, betting tips and match preview

With August behind him, Harry Kane seems back to his best! Not only has he scored 4 goals and earned 6 bonus points over his last three Premier League outings, but he also scored a hat-trick in Tottenham’s mid-week Champions League trip to APOEL. Nothing is stopping the English forward at the moment, and we don’t expect Huddersfield to either.

Alexander Lacazette

Arsenal vs West Brom predictions, betting tips and match preview

With a brace in Monday’s 2-0 win against West Brom, Lacazette became the first Arsenal player in the Premier League era to score in all of his first three home outings. Lacazette should continue his role up front following his absence from Thursday’s Europa League match against BATE, so he is the favourite to find the back of the net again this weekend at home to Brighton.

FST – Ones to Watch

Midfielders

David Silva (Man City) – £8.4mMan City vs Crystal Palace

Manchester City’s veteran playmaker looks reborn in his eighth Premier League campaign, thriving under Guardiola’s new tactical system. Silva is benefiting from being deployed closer to forwards Aguero and Jesus, assisting six goals already this season, and his supply of six key passes in the 5-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend took his tally to 23 for the season, the most of any Premier League player.

Defenders

Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal) – £6.0m

Sead Kolasinac looks to be a fixed part of a new and improved Arsenal defense – the Gunners have kept three clean sheets over their last three matches against Bournemouth (H), Chelsea (A), and West Brom (H). Now that the Bosnian seems settled in a wing-back role, Kolasinac should be a worthy FPL prospect, offering both attacking and defensive promise over a favourable run of fixtures. His freedom going forward has seen him register two assists in the Premier League, and even find the back of the net in the UEFA Europa League win over Cologne not long back. Hosting Brighton on Sunday should be an affair without much complication.

Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) – £5.0m

A recent tactical tweak by Hammers’ manager Slaven Bilic has transformed the potential of now-wing-back defender Aaron Cresswell. Playing further up the pitch, and with target man Andy Carroll to aim for, Cresswell has averaged a huge 15.7 crosses per match since GW4 – the highest number of all FPL defenders (58). Cresswell’s involvement in set-pieces also adds to his chances to earn points from offensive play, while he has solid prospect for a clean sheet this weekend against Swansea, who have failed to score in 4 of their 6 matches so far and have produced the fewest shots in the league (40).
