The race for the League Two title is really hotting up thanks to Luton Town’s recent drop in form and Accrington Stanley’s surge to the top but this Tuesday evening the Hatters have the opportunity to ease the pressure they are under from the chasing pack when they welcome in form Crawley Town to Kenilworth Road.
With Luton the league’s top scorers and Crawley one of the most in form sides in the division, we think that this fixture has the potential to be full of goals. With this in mind, and the fact that Crawley have an excellent record in the head to head between the two sides so should hold no fears, we think that backing there to be over 2.5 goals scored looks to be the way to go in this fixture.
For most other sides in the division two defeats in their last six outings would not represent too much of a problem but with just a six point cushion to second place and having played a game extra, there remains plenty to be done for Luton Town. Fortunately for the Hatters they can be confident that they have the firepower to trouble any side in the division and the fact that they have scored 68 goals in their 32 games this season plays perfect testament to this.
Crawley cannot be underestimated however and their seven wins from their previous eight matches certainly shows they are on a charge at the moment. Although they have yet to completely overwhelm a side, they have managed to score two goals or more in each of their last four matches and with each of their last six away matches finishing with over 2.5 goals scored, there appears to be plenty of evidence to suggest we are in for a high scoring game.
