There is no doubt that Swansea have improved under Paul Clement, but I think it will be a step too far for them to stop Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The hosts have won 16 of their last 19 Premier League games and have won 11 on the bounce at home. Nine of these 11 victories saw them win by a comfortable margin and they have kept seven clean sheets in the process. Swansea may be an improved side but they have still lost nine of their last 12 away games and that sort of form takes some time to turn around. A comfortable 3-0 win for Chelsea seems a good choice for this clash.
FST predicts – 3-0 Chelsea
Crystal Palace slumped to another defeat last time out when they lost to Stoke, following on from a 4-0 hammering at home to Sunderland the week before. This makes it just one win in their last 11 matches, but fortunately for them Middlesbrough are struggling terrible as well. The visitors did hold Everton to a goalless draw at home last time round in the Premier League, but they are winless in their last eight games and are hovering perilously close to the drop zone. Away from home they are 11 games without a win, and with six of those ending all square and both teams struggling terrible in front of goal a bore draw looks the most likely outcome here.
FST predicts -0-0 Draw
Everton’s goalless draw with Middlesbrough in their last clash was a terribly dull game, but at Goodison Park a different side of them comes out. They were sensational in their 6-3 win over Bournemouth in their last home match and they have won four of their last five games there and scored a huge 13 goals in their last three. Sunderland’s usually competent attack falters badly on the road and their defence gets even worse, which has resulted in them losing six of their last seven away days in all competitions. They have failed to score in six of their last ten on the road, so backing Everton to get a comfortable victory seems the most promising prediction.
FST predicts -3-0 Everton
Hull look like a transformed team under Marco Silva, and whilst they did lose to Arsenal in their last match they have a very respectable form record of four wins, one draw, and four defeats in their last nine games. At the KCOM it looks more than respectable though with four wins on the bounce and just one defeat in their last ten. Burnley have made a name for themselves with their form at Turf Moor this season, but away from home they remain without a win all term and have lost ten of their 11 games. They have finally started scoring on the road recently though, so a 2-1 win for the hosts looks good.
FST predicts -2-1 Hull
West Brom have proven to be a very capable side this season and they are reaping the rewards from their new found attacking instinct. At The Hawthorns they have won six of their last seven Premier League matches and kept three clean sheets, and they’re going up against a Bournemouth side winless in seven games and with six of their last seven away games ending in defeat. Defensively The Cherries have been shocking recently, and their loss of Callum Wilson to injury again will damage their attacking credentials. Considering the hosts form backing them to get a 2-0 win looks good here.
FST predicts – 2-0 West Brom
