Burnley vs West Ham

Burnley look to have banished their dreadful away curse from last season, with wins at Chelsea and Everton putting them in a fantastic position in the Premier League, and they have the opportunity to continue their improvement on Saturday. West Ham have improved slightly in recent times, but they have shipped 11 goals in just four away games this season and have failed to score in three of them. Given the fact that Burnley are generally a solid side at the back and that The Hammers have lost four of their seven league games a slender and composed 1-0 win for the hosts looks to be on the cards.

FST predicts -1-0 Burnley

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

Crystal Palace continue to set unwanted records in the Premier League, and seven games into the season they are not only without a point, but they haven’t even managed to find the net yet. The chances of them breaking free of that stigma on Saturday are low as well, because they come up against the Premier League champions and are without both Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha. Chelsea haven’t been the same side that won the league last season though, and whilst a win is very likely for them I don’t think it will be a thrashing. The visitors lost to Manchester City at home before the international break and failed to beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign, and without the doubtful Alvaro Morata a subdued 2-0 win for them looks the best choice.

FST predicts – 2-0 Chelsea

Man City vs Stoke

Manchester City had a bit of an edgy start to the season, but Pep Guardiola’s assortment of superstars have found their feet and have looked unstoppable recently. Their win against Chelsea before the international break makes it eight wins in a row for the hosts, and they have even managed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last four in the league. The Citizens have conceded just three goals all season and now face a Stoke side who were battered 4-0 against Chelsea just a few weeks ago. The Potters have been decent this season, but away to the rampant Manchester City I can see nothing less than a comprehensive victory for the hosts.

FST predicts – 4-0 Manchester City

Swansea vs Huddersfield

Swansea’s relegation fears appear to be accurate at this stage, as their goalshy squad continues to limp forward in the Premier League. They have managed just five points from their opening seven matches, and have scored just one goal in their last four league outings. This should bring a bit of confidence to the Huddersfield ranks, but after their fantastic start to their debut Premier League campaign they have dropped off the boil and haven’t won in five games. Like their opponents, scoring seems to be the issue here, with them finding the net just once in the last five matches. This has bore draw written all over it, so we’re going for that here.

FST predicts – 0-0 Draw

Tottenham vs Bournemouth

Tottenham’s temporary move to Wembley has been feared by the fans after their terrible Champions League performances there last season, and it’s been a well founded fear. They have been poor, but they have to get a win at some point and against a Bournemouth side who lost their opening four league games this season. With Harry Kane back to form and the midfielders behind him improving every week they should be able to get a win, but it’s unlikely to be a comprehensive one against a Bournemouth side who have only lost one of their seven league games by more than a single goal. A 2-1 win for them to break their Wembley curse looks the most likely outcome on Saturday.

FST predicts – 2-1 Tottenham

Leeds vs Reading

This is a huge game for Leeds as they look to return to the excellent form that saw them make a flying start to the season. They lost their two games going into the international break, but with a break to clear their heads they will feel confident coming into this game, especially since Reading are without a win in six games at the moment. The Royals have lost four of these six games and now face a Leeds side with four straight wins at Elland Road, so backing a 2-1 win for the hosts looks the best choice here.

FST predicts – 2-1 Leeds
