Boston Celtics Predictions vs Cleveland Cavaliers, Picks & Betting Tips
It’s Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight as the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After a lopsided win in Game 1, which was never really a contest between the two teams, Cleveland looks to put another nail in Boston’s coffin tonight. The Cavs hit their first 28 of 45 shots on Wednesday night and cruised pretty much the entire game after that.
LeBron was once again his usual dominant self as he scored 38 points and dished out 7 assists. Kevin Love recorded his first 30 point playoff game as he chipped in 32 pts while hitting 6 of 9 3-pointers.
Boston managed to score 104 points in the loss on Wednesday, which isn’t bad when you think about it. But their defense had no answers for Lebron and the Cavs as they allowed 117 pts on the other end. Toinght’s game will be a pivotal one for Boston, if they want to stay in the series.
Just like in Game 1, the key to the game will be Boston’s ability to slow down Lebron who is averaging 34.8 points, 9.0 rebounds & 7.1 assists per game in these playoffs.
Going down 2-0 before heading to Cleveland for Games 3 & 4 does not sound promising at all. The Celtics did come back to win their series against the Bulls after going down 2-0, but we have serious doubts they could do that against Cleveland.
Cleveland simply outmatches Boston in every aspect of the game and because of this we are backing Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5 Point Spread at 10/11 odds tonight.
