India vs Australia T20I Betting Tips & Predictions

Cricket - India - Virat Kohli

India vs Australia betting tips and predictions for the third and final T20 International in Hyderabad. The game will be played on Friday, October 13. The series is tied at one game apiece, and the winner of this encounter takes it all.

The hosts looked to have made a sterling start to the series when they continued to trigger the Aussie batting collapses in the opener, restricting them to 118. The chase was rain-marred but India pulled it off easily in a six-over innings.
Coming into the second game, we thought India would have it easy but such is the nature of the format, any team can bounce back and rise like a Phoenix, and Australia is surely no pushover. They won an important toss on a difficult surface, and in Jason Behrendorff, found a bowler who tamed the Indian batsmen rather well – bowling the side out for 118 as well.
Later, Australia lost their openers early but Moises Henriques and Travis Head got together and guided the Aussies to a facile win.

All to play for then, come the third and the final T20I.

India finally lost a game to Australia after having won seven T20Is in a row against them, but are still 10-5 on head to head against the visitors.

This ground in Deccan at Hyderabad, hasn’t hosted any T20Is so far, and in the last ODI that was played here in 2014, India had pulverised Sri Lanka by six wickets in a one-sided affair.

Australia wouldn’t want to make any changes to their squad after having won the previous game so convincingly. They had dropped Dan Christian and brought in Marcus Stoinis last match and will continue with the same XI.

India had picked the same XI for the first two games but there will be question-marks over the middle-order – do the likes of Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni have the ability to hit the big ones? Captain Kohli might be itching to give KL Rahul a go here.

India vs Australia Betting Tips

We had said in the previous game; “two of India’s biggest six-hitters in this format, are Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh, and both haven’t been selected in the squad. On the other hand, Australia have Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell, not to mention Travis Head, who can conjure up those big shots at will.”

That’s exactly what happened and Australia ended their chase with five sixes to India’s two, and not surprisingly, we expect more of the same. William Hill are offering 11/10 for it.
In Player v Player betting, we are looking at the Virat Kohli v Shikhar Dhawan market. Kohli has struggled against Australia all year, in all formats while Dhawan’s return to the T20Is following a prolific ODI series against Sri Lanka, has seen him score an unbeaten 15 and a 2 in the two games.
Kohli’s experience at bouncing back should trump Dhawan’s lack of edge for now and at 10/11 (William Hill), that makes for a good shot.
There were seven games played here last IPL as well, and while it started out as a high-scoring ground, it later became more and more difficult to bat on as the season progressed. So much so that Mumbai Indians won the IPL final after posting 129.
This is just the start to the season, but the issue like at the previous two grounds is that the rains are still around – making it tougher for the groundsmen to prepare the kind of surface they would like. If you are looking to be a tad adventurous, you could look at William Hill’s 7/2 for No Fifty to be Scored in the game.
