Cheltenham - 13:50BetVictor Handicap Chase
Nico De Boinville
Lightly raced seven year old for the Nicky Henderson yard who was a brilliant third in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival in March. He found things coming all too soon in the Scottish Grand National but he goes well fresh and remains with huge amounts of potential. He is much better than his current mark and shouldn’t be for catching here.
Cheltenham - 14:25BetVictor Gold Cup
Irish Raider who claimed the Close Brothers Novices’ Chase at the Festival back in March off six pounds lower, returning this season with a good preparation run over hurdles at Punchestown. Connections have more than likely had this race in mind for a long time and he’s unexposed at this distance, so he should have too much potential for these.
Lingfield - 14:45Churchill Stakes
Lightly raced four year old for trainer William Haggas who made a successful switch to the all weather when winning at Chelmsford on his latest start. He was always holding the second placed horse Boynton, who he reopposes today and he should once again have his measure as he’s unexposed in this sphere.
Cheltenham - 15:00Listed Handicap Hurdle
Exciting prospect for Nicky Henderson who won a 2m 7f Handicap here on his seasonal debut, winning in impressive fashion. He’s been raised ten pounds as a result but James Bowen offsets seven pounds of that hike and regardless, he has far more to give as a stayer for top connections.
Cheltenham - 15:30Handicap Hurdle
Diable De Sivola
Right out the back of the Fred Winter field at the Cheltenham Festival in March, he finished like a rocket to come home in fifth in a run with huge amounts of promise. He clearly needed his seasonal debut when upped to 2m 3f on his latest start at Fontwell but he still ran well to snatch second late on. Off the same mark, upped in trip once again, he shouldn’t be for catching.
