10:00 – Madison Keys Win vs Yulia Putintseva
Madison Keys has gone about her business quietly this week and I think she’ll continue to do so in this match. The American has been in the better form of the two players in recent months and she has experiences of winning grand slam quarter-finals. While Putintseva has played good tennis throughout this tournament, she hasn’t played an opponent ranked above 21 in the world and so this will be a step up. Madison Keys is the better player and I see her winning this one.
10:00 – Dominic Thiem 3-2 Correct Score vs Alexander Zverev
I think Thiem wins the match of the round in an epic. The Austrian ace has played the better tennis out of the two throughout the tournament and he’s also looked the most comfortable. Zverev has had to come through three successive five-set matches, whereas Thiem has dropped only three sets all tournament. Thiem has reached the semi-finals here in the last two years and he also leads their head-to-head 4-2, winning 3 of their 4 clay court meetings. I think Zverev will be involved in another five-set match, but I think this time he’ll come out on the losing side of it, with Thiem winning 3-2.
10:00 – Novak Djokovic Win vs Marco Cecchinato
Novak Djokovic is going about his business well and I think he’ll continue to do so in this one. Ceechinato has produced the two of the best performances of his career in his last couple of matches to beat Carreno-Busta and David Goffin, and he’ll need to produce even better in this one. Djokovic has all of the experience and he’s the better of the two players, and for those reasons I have to back him to reach the semi-finals.
11:00 – Sloane Stephens Win vs Daria Kasatkina
I think the US Open champion continues his march towards a second grand slam title with a win in this one. Stephens is one of the very best in the world when she’s focused and on form, and the more matches she wins the harder she becomes to stop. Stephens won their only previous clay court meeting and she has the experience of winning these big matches. I think Stephens moves into another grand slam semi-final.
