7/1 Match Goals Accumulator lands on Wednesday!

It has been a brilliant 24 hours here at FST! After landing a 20/1 Win Accumulator last night and a 19/1 NBA Accumulator overnight, our football analysts have added to the winners with a 7/1 Match Goals accumulator landing on Wednesday!

Here’s how it all played out.

The acca kicked off with Nottingham Forest playing host to Aston Villa in a clash which saw an incredible 5-5 draw back in November. The hosts kicked things off with an incredibly early Forest goal through Jack Colback but Villa quickly tied things through John McGinn with just 7 minutes on the clock. We didn’t have to wait long for the selection to land after another stunning effort from John McGinn which saw Villa take a 15th-minute 2-1 lead. The visitors went on to grab a hard-fought 3-1 victory to move above Forest in the table.

We head across to East Anglia for the second leg of the accumulator as high flying Norwich City took on Hull City. Another lively contest here as Norwich flew into a 2 goal advantage with just 14 minutes on the clock as they look to extend their lead at the top of the league. A late first-half goal from Hull saw this leg also land with ease. Despite another goal from Hull, Norwich went on to win 3-2 and take a 2 point lead ahead of 2nd place Leeds.

Away from the Championship, we head to Barcelona for the penultimate leg. We opted for at least 3 goals in the Champions League contest between Barcelona and Lyon despite the game tied at 0-0 after the first leg. Barcelona got the leg off and running through a sensational panenka penalty from Lionel Messi. Former Liverpool attacker Phillipe Coutinho doubled the lead for Spanish Champions to head into the break 2-0 to the good. Despite a poor first half, Lyon found new life in the second half with a 58th-minute goal to half the deficit and land the third leg for our accumulator. Barcelona went on to win 5-1 to send the Spanish giants into the quarterfinals.

Back to the Championship for the final leg as Swansea travelled to the Midlands to take on a manager-less West Bromwich Albion. West Brom got things underway in the 19th minute through club favourite Chris Brunt but that wasn’t the major talking point of the first half. Bersant Celina stepped up to take a 39th-minute penalty for Swansea only to slip and somehow hit the ball backwards. It looked like being one of those nights for the Swans’ who fell 2 behind from a Mason Holgate header in the 54th minute. That missed penalty look set to haunt us as the game drew to a close, but Jay Rodriguez gave us our third winning accumulator in 24 hours after a brilliant finish inside the area.
