As the teams turn for home and enter the straight, League One action is now coming thick and fast. Clubs will play for the third time in eight days on Saturday, so there could be some tired legs on show. With defences perhaps feeling the pinch of playing Saturday, Tuesday and now Saturday again, we’ve highlighted couple of anytime goal-scorers to line punters’ pockets.
Billy Kee – Accrington vs Rochdale
It’s not been the most fruitful campaign for Accrington, who’ve recently slipped to 14th position, just four points above the drop-zone, though striker Billy Kee has been a bright spark for Stanley right from the word go. The 28-year-old, who captains the club, has shown his quality on several occasions, and comes into this match having set his sights with a brace against Wycombe last time out. Stanley’s go-to goal-getter has notched 11 times in the league this season, though as he currently ranks 8th in the individual expected-goals for table with 13.34 it’s easy to feel that he should have a couple more.
Furthermore, the man who takes Accrington’s penalties now goes up against a Rochdale back-line that has been very poor in recent times. Only Gillingham have conceded more shots on target away from home than Dale, who’ve shipped a worrying total of 41 goals on their travels this season. Saturday’s visitors have also conceded the fourth most expected goals in League One this season, so it’s easy to see Kee getting chances on Saturday.

Ched Evans – Fleetwood vs Plymouth
Another player that ranks highly both in terms of goals and individual expected goals for is Fleetwood’s Ched Evans. The 30-year-old striker sits behind Kee in 9th place as far as expected goals are concerned, while he’s scored a pleasing 13 times in League One this season.
Fleetwood may not be the most fluent attacking side, but Evans, who certainly knows where the goal is, is the type of striker capable of scoring goals even when feeding off scraps. What’s more, eight of his 13 goals have come at Highbury Stadium, which is where Fleetwood have generally played their best stuff in an attacking sense. Add in the fact that the Cod Army are up against Plymouth side that has conceded more expected goals than all but two teams in League One this season and Evans becomes easy to support in the ‘Anytime Scorer’ market.
