Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Correct Score Prediction: 3-0 Arsenal

A 2-2 draw at the Etihad last weekend was good enough for Arsenal, and it leaves them just needing a draw on Sunday to seal 3rd position. However, a victory could push them up past their North London rivals, which would be an excellent opportunity for rubbing salt in the fresh wound of Spurs’ title disappointment. The Gunners have been decent at home recently as well and have managed to claim five clean sheets in their last eight games. Aston Villa, on the other hand, couldn’t even score at home against Newcastle last weekend and still look awful. I’m expecting a very comfortable 3-0 win for Arsenal.

Chelsea vs Leicester

Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Leicester

Leicester will have been celebrating their famous Premier League win all last week, but it didn’t stop them from hammering Everton at the weekend. This extended their unbeaten streak to 11 matches in the Premier League and they have won eight of these. Chelsea are struggling to win at the moment and have just two of their last ten at Stamford Bridge. Leicester won’t want to bow out of their incredible season on a defeat, so I’m expecting them to play with the same sort of class as they have all season and come away with a 2-1 win over a Chelsea side with nothing to play for.

Manchester United vs Bournemouth

Correct Score Prediction: 1-0 Manchester United

The last game at Upton Park on Tuesday didn’t disappoint, but it resulted in disappointment for Manchester United. They lost 3-2 to West Ham and now find the race for the Champions League qualification spot out of their hands – They now need Manchester City to lose at Swansea. The Red Devils have been good at home recently though and are unbeaten in ten games, but they have failed to entertain there and regularly settle for 1-0 victories. I expect this to be more of the same on Sunday, so a 1-0 win over Bournemouth looks good to me.

Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspur

Correct Score Prediction: 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Newcastle’s fate was finally sealed in midweek as their North East rivals Sunderland thrashed Everton to remove any doubt from the bottom three. Newcastle are relegated, and considering the lack of belief they showed last weekend at Aston Villa this could make for an utterly appalling game. It will be made worse by Spurs’ lack of motivation now that the title race is over, so I’m expecting a thoroughly unentertaining match on Sunday, and a 1-0 win for the visitors is looking like the most likely outcome.

Swansea vs Manchester City

Correct Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw

Manchester City just need a point to wrap up Champions League football for the incoming Pep Guardiola, but Swansea won’t be lying down. The hosts have been exceptional in recent wins against Liverpool and West Ham, and I expect them to find their way past a Kompany-less City defence on Sunday. Their own defence hasn’t been at it’s best recently though, so I think Man City will break them down too. Neither team will want to lose this one, and considering both teams attacking quality I think a 2-2 draw looks good.

West Brom vs Liverpool

Correct Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw

West Brom are in shocking form at the moment and will just be counting down the seconds until the season is over. They have failed to win any of their last eight matches, but their visitors will be preoccupied with the imminent Europa League final against Sevilla. Liverpool are relying on other teams slipping up to make it into the Europa League qualification spots in the Premier League, so I’m expecting some key players to be rested on Sunday so they can put themselves in the best position to win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League in the process. Even with a second string squad out and a fairly poor away record West Brom will still find it tough. I’m going for a 1-1 draw in this one.
