Sky Super 6 Round 63 Tips and Predictions

Brighton vs Man City

Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and John Stones Manchester City

Score Prediction: 2-0 Manchester City

Manchester City make the long trek south to play Brighton on Sunday, knowing that a win at the Amex Stadium will hand them the Premier League title for the second year running.

With their top flight safety secured, Brighton can play without pressure this weekend, though that doesn’t mean they will find life any easier against the Citizens’ relentless winning machine.

City have won 13 Premier League matches on the spin, keeping an incredible 10 clean sheets along the way, during an extraordinarily consistent 3-month period.

Brighton are without a win in 8 and the Seagulls failed to register a single goal in 6 of those ill-fated contests. There looks like there is only one winner here, and we’re backing City to run out relatively comfortable winners on Sunday.

Burnley vs Arsenal

Score Prediction: 2-2 Draw

Burnley will be hoping to capitalise on any tiredness in the Arsenal ranks on Sunday when the teams meet in their last Premier League fixture of the 2018/19 season at Turf Moor.

The Gunners should arrive in Lancashire in buoyant mood after they secured a place in the Europa League Final in mid-week, though there is bound to be a physical hangover after their topsy-turvy win in Valencia.

Burnley have lost just 3 of their last 10 matches in all competition on their own patch, and on Sunday they take on an Arsenal side that has won only 2 of their last 12 league matches on the road.

The Gunners have a fantastic record against the Clarets however, winning each of their last 9 meetings with them since 2010. We expect fatigue to be a factor on Sunday though, and we’re tipping Burnley to take a point against the Europa League finalists.

Leicester City vs Chelsea

David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger Chelsea

Score Prediction: 2-1 Leicester City

Leicester City and Chelsea close out their respective Premier League campaigns in what looks a potentially exciting clash between the clubs at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

With 5 wins, 1 draws and 2 defeats in their last 8 Premier League games, Leicester are ending their season in style, and the Foxes can still finish as high as 8th place if results go their way this weekend.

Despite reservations about their style of play and the team’s progression under Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have lost only twice in their last 17 games, securing a top 4 finish and a place in the Europa League Final in the process.

However, having gone through extra time and penalties on Thursday, the Blues’ players will be on the brink of exhaustion on Sunday, and we think this talented Leicester outfit can take full advantage.

Liverpool vs Wolves

Score Prediction: 2-1 Liverpool

It’s seems incredible to think that a team could finish with 97 points and still not win the Premier League title, but that’s the scenario facing Liverpool ahead of their final day clash with Wolves at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges battered Barcelona into submission on Tuesday night to earn a place in the Champions League Final at the Catalonian’s expense. Remarkably, the win was Liverpool’s 17th triumph in their last 19 fixtures at Anfield.

Wolves will provide tricky opposition for Liverpool on Merseyside on Sunday however. Wanderers have performed brilliantly against the division’s best teams this term, beating Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd in the league during an impressive campaign.

Interestingly, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are 1 of only 3 teams to have beaten Liverpool in 2019. Wolves edged past the Reds in the clubs’ FA Cup meeting in the first week of January in a Molineux contest that eventually finished 2-1 to the hosts.

We don’t see Wolves repeating that trick this time around however, and we’re tipping Liverpool to reverse the January scoreline at Anfield on Sunday.

Manchester United vs Cardiff City

Score Prediction: 1-0 Manchester United

Two clubs desperate for the Premier League season to end face-off at what is certain to be a muted Old Trafford on Sunday, when Manchester United welcome Cardiff City to the Theatre of Dreams.

Having won just 2 of their last 11 games in all competitions, United find themselves in a deep rut, and the good will generated by new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has all been exhausted already.

Relegated Cardiff City were beaten in 9 of their last 11 league fixtures – and really the Bluebirds exited the Premier League with a whimper after just one season at the top of the English football pyramid.

United battered Cardiff 5-1 when the teams met in their reverse league fixture in December, though the landscape has shifted considerably since then.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will likely include a handful of youngsters in his final XI of the season, and that could lead to an even more disjointed performance than usual. Nevertheless, we think United will just about drag themselves over the line on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton

Ajax v Spurs Champions League

Score Prediction: 0-0 Draw

Tottenham Hotspur stunned the continent on Wednesday with their stunning comeback win against Ajax in the Champions League Semi Final second leg in Amsterdam to secure their place in next month’s Final.

Their league displays have been at the other end of the performance spectrum however, and Spurs have lost a whopping 7 of their last 11 Premier League contests in total since early February.

At the root of Tottenham’s problems is a toothlessness in forward areas that seen them hit the net just 11 times in 11 games, and more recently Spurs failed to score on 3 of their last 4 Premier League outings.

With 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat from their last 7 Premier League games, Everton are finishing the season strongly, and there are plenty of positive signs to enthuse Toffees fans ahead of the summer break.

Everton managed to keep 6 clean sheets in that same set of 7 matches, and we’re backing the defensively resolute Blues to secure another blank along with a point in North London on Sunday.
