Dnipro vs Lazio Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Reason For Dnipro vs Lazio Betting Tips

Dnipro’s memorable run in the Europa League last season might prove difficult to live up to, but they’re determined and gutsy performance in the 3-2 loss in the final against Sevilla showed both the improved standard of Ukrainian league football and the capability of this squad.

Dnipro has kept its team together performing well early in the Ukrainian Premier League so far. They’re currently placed third in that division and have already picked up an impressive 2-0 away win over Shaktar Donetsk this season.

They’ll be tested in the first game of this tournament. Lazio’s form has been a little indifferent through the early part of this season in Serie A and Champions League competition. However, the club showed terrific improvement last year and will start this season’s Europa League as a serious contender.

The game has plenty of attacking ambition and fire power to back it up in it. Lazio are not a typical Italian ball possession team, preferring to attack in numbers from the midfield. Dnipro are a side capable of counter-attacking with speed, but also in spreading the ball wide and inciting a faster style of play.

Three Reasons for Betting Tips

1. Attacking quality

This is a game between two sides with attacking quality and the ambition to play that way. We’re expecting an open game with neither team managing to keep a clean sheet.

2. Dnipro home field advantage

Our slight edge has to go to Dnipro in this circumstance. They’ve got home field advantage, where they were so strong last campaign beating Napoli, Club Brugge, Ajax and Olympiakos in the Ukraine legs.

3. Lazio inconsistency

There’s been a little bit of inconsistency on the part of Lazio this season. They’ve been exploitable at times losing 3-0 to Bayer Leverkusen in Champions League play and falling 4-0 to Chievo in a recent Serie A game. We don’t expect a blowout in this match-up, but Dnipro will get their chances.
