Osasuna vs Leganes Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Reason For Osasuna vs Leganes Betting Tips

Osasuna come into this match having claimed just their Second win of the season in midweek, which will at least give them a lift coming into this match. Defeat to 17th placed Leganes though would mean they could potentially be relegated as soon as next weekend. The Madrid club are a fairly limited side but they’ve been picking up enough points to keep their heads above water and it’d be a surprise to see this game also end up all square.

Despite that midweek victory, you’d have a hard time backing Osasuna to win it. They are yet to win at home all season in La Liga, with their last home league win coming in the Segunda Division play-offs last June. They may have the worst home record in the league by some distance with just 0.33 points per game at home on average but they do at least carry some kind of goal threat. Their average of 1 goal per game is better than that of Leganes who have the worst goal-scoring record in La Liga with only 0.83.

They’ve also performed reasonably well in their last two home games, certainly by the standards of their season. They held an impressive Eibar side to a 1-1 draw and were only beaten 2-1 by Athletic Bilbao in their most recent outing in Pamplona. Certainly this is a tougher game for Leganes than it might’ve looked a month back. The visitors are the clear favourites to win the game but their lack of victories makes backing them seem an unwise move.

Since beating Osasuna in the reverse fixture, they’ve won just 2 of their 20 matches in all competitions. 3 of their last 4 games have been drawn as have 30% of their league games overall this season. Only 3 teams have drawn more often than them and given Osasuna have four times as many draws as they do wins, backing the Draw at 23/10 looks like it could be the best bet here.

Head to Head

Leganes have won the last two meetings including a 1-0 win earlier this term. They’ve lost on their last two visits to Pamplona though with both games in the Second Tier.

Osasuna Team News

Osasuna Team Badge Fran Merida returns from a ban but Osasuna still have a whole host of players out injured. Nikola Vujadinovic should be fit to come into start at centre-back but the Pamplona side still have 7 players sidelined.

Leganes Team News

Leganes Team Badge Erik Moran should partner Ruben Perez in midfield having returned from suspension. Nabil El Zhar is expected to be fit to start on the right with Guerrero up top.
