Premier League Darts Correct Score Double – Night 2 in Glasgow
Daryl Gurney may have his work cut out, as he takes on this weeks ‘contender’, Glen Durrant. 2019 has been quite a year already for ‘Duzza’, first he won the BDO World Championship, he followed that up by earning his PDC Tour Card at Q School, and last weekend made his first PDC ProTour final, losing out to Dave Chisnall in a close fought match. Gurney was beaten by Gerwyn Price in the Premier League last week, when his usual good scoring let him down. If Durrant settles quickly to the Premier League atmosphere his better recent form could see him cause a bit of an upset here.
The final game of the night sees Michael van Gerwen take on Mensur Suljovic. Van Gerwen got his campaign off to a winning start against Michael Smith last week, and took home another title at the weekend when claiming the first ProTour event of the season. Suljovic was quite fortunate to get a 6-6 draw last week, fighting back from 5-1 down against Chris Dobey, but averaged 101 in that game, so comes here in decent form. However, the Dutchman is rightly a strong favourite and should come through this one with a bit to spare.
