Reason for Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors Betting tips

What a season it has been for these two sides. After finishing in the first and second seeds, we will see them go head to head in the Eastern Conference finals for a spot in the NBA Finals in a few weeks time. This is Milwaukee’s first conference finals appearance since 2001 while Raptors make their first appearance since the 4-2 loss to Lebron’s Cavaliers in 2016.

Milwaukee have hit the headlines the entire season after finishing on 60 wins and 22 losses with Giannis Antetokounmpo likely to pick up the MVP award. After such a dominant regular season, Milwaukee have only gotten stronger after a 4-0 series win against Detroit and a crushing performance against Boston which saw them win 4-1. Giannis continues to average over 27 points in the post-season while also being one of just three players averaging over 50% in the playoffs, the other two being Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard.

Toronto finished just 2 wins behind Milwaukee in the regular season standings but were pushed to 7 games against 3rd seed Philadelphia in the semi-finals. They blitzed through Orlando to win 4-1 despite dropping Game One and were given a really tough series against Philly. With what was arguably one of the most dramatic finishes in recent years, Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer beater shot took a few bounces off the rim before dumping the Sixers out. This was the first Game 7 buzzer beater in NBA history and it was only right it came at the hands of Kawhi Leonard.

Kawhi is averaging just under 32 points in the 12 postseason games played for Toronto while also leading the league with 53.9% from the field. Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry have stepped up massively to support Leonard as they combine for over 33 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists with all three players starting all 12 games for Toronto.

Many people will have Milwaukee walking into the finals after such dominant performances this season, but a lot of credit needs to be given to this Toronto Raptors side. They finished just 2 wins behind Milwaukee in the regular season and were given a tougher matchup in the semi-finals. With that being said, their lack of depth may prove to be a decisive point as the series goes on. Milwaukee have had a few more days rest which may have an effect both ways, they could come out sluggish and have a poor early start or they may come out firing from the off. For me, I think Raptors are well within reach of keeping this a close one. My prediction is Toronto Raptors +7 Point Spread at 10/11.

We have seen an average of 112 points scored in the last 3 regular season meetings and we should expect a similar number of points scored again. Both teams have played brilliant defence in the postseason and that may be where the series is won with Giannis and Kawhi putting up so many individual points. If the defences can keep them quiet, we could see some extremely low scoring games. My prediction is Under 218 Total Points at 10/11.

Milwaukee Bucks Team News

Pau Gasol, Donte DiVincenzo and D.J. Wilson are all ruled out.

Toronto Raptors Team News

Kyle Lowry injured his thumb last game but is likely to start Game One.
