Reason for Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs Betting tips

Well the Steelers managed to give the Browns their best start to a season since 2004 because they tied each other at 21 last Sunday. It was an extremely sloppy game from both sides, as the Browns made typical Browns mistakes and the Steelers turned the ball over 6 times. If you are a Steelers fan, there’s an upside and downside to this. On the bright side, you almost won despite turning the ball over 6 times. But the downside is that you did turn the ball over 6 times and almost lost to the Browns. More importantly, RB Le’Veon Bell has made it clear that he will not be suiting up for Pittsburgh anytime soon, which means that RB James Conner will take most of the workload in the backfield.

The Chiefs had a far better Sunday, beating the division rival Chargers 38-28. It was quite the offensive showing for the Chiefs’ offense, which looked dynamic and fast with their new franchise QB Pat Mahomes under center. Mahomes was very impressive, winning AFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 256 yards and 4 TDs. WR Tyreek Hill was a nightmare for the Chargers’ secondary and special teams, as he hauled in two touchdowns in the air and also took a punt back for a touchdown.

Its clear that with Mahomes at the helm, the Chiefs could be very dangerous in the AFC if they improve their defense, which gave up 28 points and 541 yards to the Chargers. With S Eric Berry questionable, it could be a very thin secondary that lines up to play Sunday. Although Roethlisberger threw five interceptions last week, he can still air it out to his stud WR core of Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster.

In terms of the betting market, we find a couple of plays very attractive. First, we recommend the Chiefs point spread. The Chiefs are just as good overall (if not better) than the Steelers right now, and Pittsburgh will have great trouble stopping this versatile Chiefs offense. On the other side of the ball, the Chiefs’ defense is not very good, but QB Ben Roethlisberger has shown his struggles of late and we think that these can continue, especially after picking up an elbow injury last week. We are also recommending the Chiefs on the money line because we think that they will win this game straight-up and thus we like the value we are getting with these odds.

Lastly, given the explosiveness of both offensives and the lack of defensive prowess, we are recommending the over on the points total. The Chiefs should be able to move the ball fairly easily against a Steelers’ secondary that was very suspect last week, and on the other side the Kansas City defense doesn’t seem to be offering much resistance right now. This should be a classic shootout, where it might be about having the ball last to see who comes out on top.
